Founder Joan Coukos drew from a multi-dimensional background of international studies, an MBA from UNC-Chapel Hill, extensive European travel, and a banking career to build a one-of-a-kind business. After studying Old World chocolatiers in Brussels, she concocted new bites in her Manhattan apartment before starting the company in 2003. Ten years later, she earned a spot on Dessert Professional Magazine's Top Ten Chocolatiers of North America.

The 35% cacao chocolate is creamy, rich, and smooth, without ever overpowering the nuts. Caramelized cashews, almonds, and peanuts bring an incredible butterscotch flavor for elegant sweetness. It’s salty and sweet without being too much of either. My favorite bites are half chocolate, half nuts, but the balance skews towards chocolate, so I wish there were more!
